Gautham Menon had announced his next project Dhruva Natchathiram with Surya. Since Suriya was not satisfied with the script he had request the director to rework on the script. There were also talks in the industry that the project has been called off. Gautham Menon who has completed the script has now tweeted, “Reworked a script for Suriya. Hopefully we'll start very soon. Lots of writing, lots of scripts in hand now. Here's to good times ahead.”

Suriya on the other hand has also been in talks with Soodhu Kavvum director Nalan Kumarasamy for a new project. The actor is said to have even approved the script. However there is no clarity on which of these projects will kick start first.
