Lokesh Kanagaraj directed 2019 movie Kaithi starring Karthi in the lead is all set to release in theaters of Japan on November 19, 2021 (Friday). The Japaenese version of the film is titled Kaithi Dilli and it is the first release for Karthi in the country.

Kaithi is an action thriller with a run-time of 145 minutes and unlike usual Indian movies has no song features. The story follows Dilli, an ex-convict, who is about to meet his daughter for the first time after leaving prison.

However, his attempts are interrupted due to a drug raid planned by Inspector Bejoy, played by actor Narain.
