One of director Pa. Ranjith's upcoming productions is the Samuthirakani starrer Writer which is written and directed by debutant Franklin Jacob. The movie recently cleared censor with an U/A and is now gearing up to release in theater screens.

Writer revolves around an honest police officer in a corrupt environment and is co-produced by Golden Ratio Films, Little Red Car Films, and Jetty Productions. The movie has Govind Vasantha for music and also stars Hari Krishnan, Lizzie Antony, Maheshwari in important roles.
