Recently it was revealed that Kavin, Amritha starrer Lift which has long awaited release will finally be hitting theater screens in October, 2021. The movie was believed to be presented by Libra Productions until Ekaa Entertainment, original producers of the film came up with a statement which suggested otherwise.

Ekaa Entertainment claimed that the April, 2021 agreement between them and Libra Productions became invalid after Ravinder Chandrasekar of the latter banner failed to 'act upto the agreement'. Ekaa even added that they have lodged an official police complaint against Ravinder and insisted that he does not hold the distribution rights to the film.

However Libra Productions hit back saying that they have already paid 50% advance for Lift's distribution rights and as per the agreement the remaining amount needed to paid only before the movie's release. Libra has also said that they been trying to get in touch with Ekaa Entertainment for Lift's theatrical release this October but the producer there wouldn't pick up their calls.
