Recently director Selvaraghavan took to his social media to share a picture of his and captioned it #NaaneVaruven. This seems to be pointing to the fact that there will be no title change in the movie as suggested before. Naane Varuven stars Dhanush in the lead and was supposed to begin filming August 20 but now the shooting is expected to start in September. 

Another recent update on Naane Varuven is that Bigil actress Indhuja Ravichandran has joined the project as one of the female leads. The movie is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations and will see Dhanush in dual roles.
