Navarasa - Payasam Review

This is the best of the lot that I have watched till now. Vasanth's Paayasam is the only film till now that sort of successfully conveys the emotion (disgust) that it deals with. The others shorts may have a particular emotion as a plot point or as a fleeting reference but Payasam ensures that we get to experience the exact emotion that the two characters (played by Delhi Ganesh and Aditi Balan) experience in the film. Delhi Ganesh is terrific in this short and comes up with probably the best performance of Navarasa (atleast out of the six that I have watched so far). Direct Vasanth is in top form as he captures the milieu brilliantly. This is one film where we feel that we are right in the scene of action along with the characters. While most shorts focussed on two or three characters at the max, we have some colourful characters in Payasam and excellent performances from the actors playing them.
