Peace Review

Karthik Subbaraj's short is set in the war zone of Eelam/Sri Lanka. It takes a while to warm up to (the dialect makes it difficult as well) but it does successfully get us involved and transports us to the place of action. There is a rescue operation and this portion of the film works and the tension is palpable. The climax however comes across as forced but maybe such things do happen.

This one is a well made film. But does it impact us as much as it ought to have or as much as the makers intended to is a question mark!
