Actor Dhanush who is currently abroad shooting for his Hollywood project, made an appearance on Twitter Spaces to promote his upcoming Netflix release Jagame Thandhiram. Speaking about how much he liked his gangster character Suruli, Dhanush revealed,

"I loved the character Suruli so much that have asked Karthik Subbaraj to do a sequel.."

In the movie Suruli moves from Madurai to London and finds himself in a fight between the good and evil. Dhanush has said that being a Rajini fan, he usually replicates Rajini's mannerisms and since director Karthik Subbaraj is also a big Rajinikanth fan, it can be seen more in Jagame Thandhiram. 

Jagame Thandhiram released on Netflix on June 18, 2021 and comes with a run-time of 2 hours and 37 minutes. The movie will premiere on Vijay TV 2 months after Netflix's release.
