Dhanush's heist thriller Kara is heading to streaming almost a month after its theatrical release on April 30. The OTT release date has now been officially locked.

Directed by Vignesh Raja and written by Alfred Prakash, the film follows Karasaami, a robber navigating the fuel crisis triggered by the Gulf War of 1991, who returns to crime after predatory banks trap his father in debt, with a determined cop closing in. The film released to mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office, collecting around Rs 41 crore worldwide.

The cast features Mamitha Baiju, Jayaram, KS Ravikumar, Karunas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Bhaskar, and Prithvi Rajan among others. GV Prakash Kumar scores the music with Theni Eswar handling cinematography and Sreejith Sarang editing.
