The second schedule of Thalpathy 65 (tentative title), Vijay's upcoming movie was supposed to begin in Chennai but the ongoing COVID crisis has delayed the film's production. And latest buzz is that the release plans of Thalapathy 65 is also getting delayed.

Thalapathy 65 which also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead is now planning a Tamil New Year release in 2022. However this has not been officially confirmed.

Directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures, the movie is touted to be an action-entertainer with Vijay playing a con agent. The film is expected to resume shooting only post June, 2021.
