Maanaadu, actor Silambarasan TR's upcoming film with Venkat Prabhu was gearing up for a first single release this Ramzan i.e. May 14, 2021. Earlier today, film's producer Suresh Kamatchi announced that they are postponing the release due to the unexpected demise of Venkat Prabhu's mother.

"I am saddened to announce that the first single of our #Maanaadu film which was to be released on the day of Ramadan celebrating our Islamic relations, has been postponed a few more days in order to share the grief of our director Venkat Prabhu's mother's death.

 

We will release the first single on another date. We will announce it soon. Let’s share the grief of friends. Be careful beyond celebration. We will soon be back. Thank you brothers."

 

Maanaadu has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music. The film has Kalayani Priyadarshan playing female lead and SJ Suryah the antagonist.
