Buzz over the last 24 hours is that Ajith's next, which tentatively goes by Ajith 61/AK61/Thala 61 will be directed by H. Vinoth. Vinoth is also the director of Ajith last two films Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and the yet unreleased Valimai.

Though team Ajith claims that the actor has not heard a story yet, they have not dismissed the possibility of a hattrick with the director.

Reportedly Thala 61/Ajith 61/AK 61 will be also be a hattrick for Ajith and producer Boney Kapoor, as Bay View Projects is said to be bankrolling the movie. It is also said that Ajith will begin shooting for this new film from July, 2021.
