After postponing the March 26 release of Doctor, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie have now announced that the film will be releasing during the Ramzan holiday this year. Though a date has not been fixed, May 14, 2021 which is a public holiday date is expected to be the Friday when Doctor hits theater screens.

Doctor directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar was postponed from releasing this month due to the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. The movie also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan,, Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, Archana Chandhoke, Ilavarasu, among others and is touted to be an action-thriller with organ trafficking as the subject.
