Soorarai Pottru which was the first major Tamil film to take the direct OTT route, was screened in theaters once again at PVR-Sathyam Cinemas on public demand. The movie was first screened at these locations as a part of Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) and owing to over-growing demand, the second screening took place on Thursday.

சத்யம் Theatreல 2 நாள் சம்பவம் தான் அதுக்கு சாட்சி 🔥💥#SooraraiPottru @Suriya_offl
And if social media posts about the event are anything to go by (many of which contained video clippings of audience reacting inside the theater), then the public demand for Suriya's movie is quite evident, especially from rampant fans.
