Actor Vishal released a statement this morning thanking the Madras High Court for clearing his upcoming film Chakra for release. High Court had previously ordered an interim stay on the movie over disputes with a production company and now Chakra will release as planned on February 19, 2021.
However, all collections from Chakra's box-office will be subject to audit by the high court and the court has ordered for submission of the same on March 5, 2021.
Chakra revolves around a robbery that takes place in Chennai on the day of Independence Day. Vishal and Shraddha Srinath play police officers in the film, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
