Simbu's upcoming movie Eeswaran, which is directed by Suseenthiran was expected to be a Pongal release next year and now the makers have officially confirmed that the film will be hitting theater screens on January 14, 2021. Vijay's Master is releasing a day prior on January 13 and Eeswaran will be clashing with the Hindi version of Master on Janauary 14.

It has also been announced that Eeswaran has been censored with a clean U by the CBFC. Currently the film is awaiting its audio release on January 2, 2021.
