Sun Pictures officially announced recently that actor Vijay will be teaming up with them for his 65th film i.e. Thalapathy 65.  The latest news about the film is that the makers are planning to begin the shoot for the film by March 2021 and it is also said that the makers are planning to target the film release for Diwali 2021.

The movie will be directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar and in the recent announcement video had guns and cars as its theme hinting at an action thriller. The film has music by Anirudh.
