Talk of the town right now is Vijay's upcoming film Master selling its OTT rights, hinting that the movie which has alluded premiering on streaming platforms so far might infact debut on one. While sources close the film have confirmed in multiple reports that the development is true, confirmation on the platform to have bagged the rights vary between Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

The same sources have also added that while the OTT rights were already sold to one of these leading platforms, a decision on Master's release as such has not been taken.

They have said that the makers are currently waiting till Pongal (January, 2021) to see how the movie theater business does in this COVID-19 era and based on whether or not the government increases audience capacity, will they take a decision. 

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Andreah Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan among others and has Anirudh for music. The film's teaser unveiled for Diwali has went on to amass a whopping 40 million views on YouTube so far.
