Annaatthe which stars Rajinikanth in the lead, was earlier reported to resume shooting from October 10, 2020 but looks like the team has postponed the shooting schedule to the month of November. The decision to delay filming comes in lieu of the rising COVID 19 cases in the country. However it remains unknown if the delay in shooting will bring any change in the Tamil new year release plans of the movie.

A rural-based family entertainer, Annaatthe is directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena, Kushbhu, Prakashraj, Sathish and Soori among others with Imman for music.
