Only recently actor Suriya donated Rs. 1.5 Cr. from the sale of his upcoming movie Soorarai Pottru towards various organizations of the Tamil film industry. Today he took to twitter to reveal how he intends to donate the rest of Rs. 3.5 Cr. from the already announced donation of Rs. 5 Cr. from Soorarai Pottru's revenue. 

The actor has said that Rs. 2.5 Cr. will be allotted towards the education of COVID-19 front-line workers families and these will be fulfilled via his existing charity, the Agaram foundation. Suriya has also released a form through which people in need within the eligible criteria can apply for monetary benefit.

Suriya has also informed that the remaining Rs. 1 Cr. will be donated in sums of Rs. 10, 000 towards the education of families of those working as distribuotrs, PROs, theater owners, etc and members of his charitable trusts.
