Star actor Suriya surprised many by announcing that his highly anticipated big-budget Soorarai Pottru was taking the OTT route by releasing directly on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. And with movie theaters not looking at re-opening atleast till the end of 2020, it is being buzzed that more Tamil biggies are about to follow suit.

While talks of Jayam Ravi starrer Bhoomi and Siddharth starrer Takkar releasing on OTT platforms are come and gone in the past, latest update is that biggies like Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram and Vijay's Master both of which has resisted OTT till now is looking at taking that route. 

Makers of both Jagame Thandhiram and Master who have been quick to dismiss every OTT association have not made a statement on the matter till now. However it has been stated by industry trackers that two Tamil films will be making it to OTT next (names were not revealed) and a major news paper has claimed Vijay's Master to be one of them.
