The 'stars' seem to be literally on the side of OTT platform Amazon Prime Video, for three new South movies have announced that they will be releasing directly on the streaming app owing to movie theaters being under lockdown from the Coronavirus pandemic. 

Telugu movie V which stars Nani in the lead is all set to premiere next month accompanied by Malayalam star Fahad Faasil's entirely-shot-on-iphone film C U Soon. The biggest deal however for Amazon Prime came in the form of Soorarai Pottru which for a few months now has been highly anticipated by Tamil star Suriya's fans.

• Soorarai Pottru (Tamil) - Premiers on October 30, 2020
