The last official update on Vijay's Master only said that the movie will 'meet us soon' without specifying a date or timeline of the movie's release; The growing uncertainty over how long the Coronavirus lockdown will extend may be alluded as the reason though it was buzzed earlier that the next big movie release out of Kollywood might not be till mid-June. 

Now, reports are emerging that team Master held a discussion with their lead actor Vijay and in the event of normalcy returning by that time, Master will release for Vijay's birthday i.e. June 22, 2020. However it is worth mentioning here that given the current rate of the spreading novel COVID-19, it looks like it will be a while before the public is out and about.
