Ajith's upcoming film Valimai is one of the eagerly awaited films in Kollywood this year. Directed by H Vinoth, the film shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. Fans are eagerly waiting for the first look of the film which according to sources will be unveiled on Tamil New Year in April or on Thala's birthday which falls on May 1. However an official announcement is awaited from the makers.

Ajith who essays the role of a police officer suffered minor injuries while shooting for a bike chase sequence recently. The next schedule of the film is set to take place in Hyderabad. News of Huma Quershi playing the female lead and a popular Bollywood actor roped in as the antagonist have been doing the rounds for quite sometime. The makers are yet to officially reveal the details of the cast. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the Yuvan Shankar Raja musical is expected to hit the screens for Diwali.
