Kamal Haasan celebrates his birthday on November 7. Industry members and media took this opportunity to wish the legend and recognized the immense contributions he has made over 50+ years. 

 

Kamal is currently acting, directing and producing his magnum opus, Viswaroopam. The shooting for this secretive project is fast progressing and expected to be released as bi-lingual in Tamil and Hindi. Here are some tidbits to get you up to speed,


 

  • Shekhar Kapur(Director of Mr.India, Elizabeth:the Golden age) is doing a special appearance.
  • Akshara Haasan is assisting Kamal in Direction department. Gowthami is in charge of the costume designing. 
  • Pooja Kumar (Miss India USA) has been finalized as the female lead for Vishwaroopam.Andrea is rumored to be the second leading lady for this flick. Pooja Kumar has already done a tamil film 'Kadhal Rojave' and a few Hindi flicks. 
  • Vairamuthu is the lyricist for 5 songs and Kamal Haasan is writing one song. Shankar Ehsaan Loy are the music composers for the movie.
  • Vishwaroopam is a Bilingual(tamil and Hindi).Telugu dubbing will be done at a later stage.First schedule at Chennai has been completed. Second one to be in either the US or UK.
