Dhanush and team are currently camped at Tirunelveli for the shooting of Karnan, a Mari Selvaraj directorial and the latest to join the film's shooting is 96 fame actress Gouri G Kishan. An image of her with the director is currently the talk of the town in addition to the image of Dhanush from the sets. 

Produced by Thanu’s V Creations, Karnan has M’town actress Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead. Yogi Babu, Malayalam actor Lal, Natarajan Subramanian and Lakshmi priya are among those who play pivotal roles with Santhosh Narayanan for music.
