A.C. Mugil directed Pon Manickavel which had a trailer release recently has now confirmed its release date to be February 21, 2020. The movie is Prabhu Deva's first as a police officer and is based on a real Inspector General, who made headlines as the chief of the Idol wing in Tamil Nadu.

Also starring Nivetha Pethuraj, Suresh Menon and J. Mahendran among others, Pon Manickavel has Imman for music and is produced by Jhabak Movies.
