Rajinikanth's Darbar which hit the screens on January 9 is continuing its dream run in theatres. The film has collected Rs. 1.02 cr in Chennai on Pongal day and has accumulated a total of Rs. 9.97 cr. The film touched the Rs. 10 cr mark by the end of its first week.

Dhanush starrer Pattas which hit the screens on January 15 has opened to mixed reviews from critics and audience. The film has raked in Rs. 51 lakhs on its opening day. The other festive releases like Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo have minted Rs. 57 lakhs (5 days) and Rs. 33 lakhs (4 days) respectively.
