The hugely anticipated Rajinikanth starrer Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss has hit the screens worldwide today. The film has opened to positive reviews from all quarters and has received overwhelming response from Thalaivar fans. In USA, where Rajinikanth holds a solid market and a huge fan base, the film has grossed $500K from premiers shows held on Wednesday. 

ATMUS Entertainment which has acquired the distribution rights of the film in USA shared the news on their official Twitter handle.

Rajinikanth's films perform well in US which is evident from the fact that among the list of Top 10 USA Premiere collections, Superstar owns 7 films to his credit. While the exact numbers is expected shortly, we need to see if Darbar has breached past Petta's collection which minted $562K from premier shows.
