Sun Pictures, which has previously only distributed films of Dhanush will be producing a direct film for the first time with the actor, which is tentatively titled D 44. While an official announcement on the cast and crew of this project is awaited, buzz is that Dhanush himself has written the script for this one.

It is also being said that director Mithran Jawahar wh has earlier directed Dhanush in films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Uttama Puthiran and Kutty is reuniting with the actor for the fourth time. An official confirmation however awaits.
