Valimai marks the second colloboration of 'Thala' Ajith with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor after their first successful outing in 'Nerkonda Paarvai'. The film went on floors on December 13 at Ramojirao Film City in Hyderabad. The team is currently filming an action sequence involving Ajith and the villain actors. Huge sets have been erected for this massive stunt sequence which will involve car chase, bike chase along with a fight sequence. The first schedule of the film will last for 10 days. 

Ajith Kumar plays the role of a police officer. He's sporting a new look with black hair and moustache. Valimai has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The female lead is yet to be officially announced.
