Actor Suriya who was present at the audio launch of Thambi, addressed his fans about the teaser of his own movie Soorarai Pottru and revealed that the team plans to unveil it for Pongal, 2020. Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, is expected to hit the screens in Summer 2020. 

The film is produced by 2D Entertainment and Shikya Entertainment with Shakthi Film Factory holding the Tamil Nadu distribution rights. The movie has music by G.V. Prakash and also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and Mohan Babu among others.
