Rajinikanth's Darbar directed by AR. Murugadoss is slated for Pongal 2020 release.  The post-production work of the film is happening in full swing. The first single 'Summa Kizhi' is set to be launched today evening at 5 pm. The audio of the film is set to launched on December 7. Superstar is essaying the role of a cop in the movie.

Director AR Murugadoss in a recent interview to a weekly magazine has revealed that the film will be a mass commercial entertainer. The film will not deal with politics and but will have trademark Thalaivar's punch dialogues. The story and backdrop of the film is completely new and fresh and the director says it will be a new experience for the audience. The film has engaging elements which will satisfy all segments of audience.

Darbar also stars Nayanthara, Niveda Thomas, Yogi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Kunal Khemu and Sourabh Shukla in pivotal roles. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is set to hit the screens on January 9, 2020.
