Vijay’s ‘Bigil’ which hit the screens worldwide on October 25 is off to a rocking start at the Box Office. The hugely anticipated film has set the cash registering ringing right from the opening day, thanks to the phenomenal advance booking. The film has grossed Rs. 77 cr in TamilNadu in 4 days.

Here's the detailed territory-wise split up of gross collection, distributor's share and recovery percentage at the domestic market.

The film has achieved break even mark in Kerala in just 3 days and has emerged as the highest grossing Tamil film in Kerala. In Telugu states, Karnataka and ROI, the film is expected to recover its investment by the end of its first week. In Karnataka, it is a public holiday today due to Balipadyami festival which will  give a huge boost to the film's collection. Bigil seems to be in a comfortable zone in all territories except its home state TN where the theatrical rights were sold for a very high price.

In Tamil Nadu, with all the festival holidays coming to an end, its going to be a very crucial week for Bigil as the film is yet to recover about 45% of its share to achieve break-even, which is estimated to be around Rs. 70 cr . The film fetched mixed reviews and nevertheless it has been huge money spinner across the globe in its extended 4 day opening weekend. The real test begins on Tuesday.

Interestingly, Bigil has secured the Top position among Diwali releases across the country beating Bollywood films like Housefull 4, Made China and Saand Ki Aankh. Karthi’s Kaithi which released alongside Bigil has grabbed the third spot.
