Bigil Preview: What to expect from the Vijay starrer

As Bigil gears up a big release this Friday, the team appears self-assured and confident about the product. If it hits the bulls-eye, it will be a third consecutive win for Vijay after Mersal and Sarkar. In lieu of the film hitting theater screens tomorrow, here is a preview of Bigil and what to expect from the movie:

  • Obvious Factors: Despite the multi-starrer cast it comes with, Bigil is at the end of the day a Vijay movie and the actor has proved himself to be a delight on-screens for fans and others. The movie is an Atlee directorial who has given only hits with Vijay in the past (Theri, Mersal) and has A.R. Rahman for music, another proven contributing alliance (Mersal, Sarkar) for Vijay.

  • New Elements: Sports/Football is a genre, a star actor of Vijay's stature has never really explored in the past and going by the trailer, team Bigil has gone all out in giving its audience a thorough treat. Women empowerment is another subject that the movie seems to have tackled, making Bigil a new cocktail in commercial cinema.

  • Exciting Features: Besides being extravagant, Bigil also promises to be a visual treat loaded with special effects and Hollywood-style action scenes. Also the film's lead actor in multiple roles (Michael, Rayappan and Bigil) is something that promises to both excite and entertain [Expect ear-deafening whistles every time a character is introduced or delivers a punch, both verbal and physical].

  • Other Factors: Nayanthara is playing Vijay's love interest after a gap of 10 years and this refreshing yet matured romantic angle already has viewers looking forward to the pairing. A special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan was recently laughed-off by producer Archana Kalpathi, so he may or may not be in the movie.

Bigil is releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu (as Whistle) and has been certified an U/A by the CBFC. The movie comes with a run-time of 2 hours, 58 minutes and 59 seconds.
