Dhanush’s latest outing ‘Asuran’ directed by Vetrimaaran has been receiving critical acclaim across all quarters. The rural revenge drama has generated good revenue and has emerged as a 'winner' at the Box Office as well.

DMK Chief MK Stalin who had watched Asuran at a special screening has heaped praises on both Vetrimaran and Dhanush. He immensely appreciated Vetrimaran’s story, core plot and dialogues and Dhanush for living the character.

He praised Vetrimaraan for boldly questioning the suppression of lower caste people who are subjected to extreme violence in the name of caste discrimination.  

Dhanush also thanked Stalin for watching Asuran and appreciating the film as well. The film based on the novel Vekkai by acclaimed Tamil writer Poomani, hit the screens on October 4 and has made a total business of Rs. 100 crore.
