With the festive holidays coming to an end, here's how much the new and earlier released films have grossed at the Box Office till October 8, 2019. There were notable releases  like Hrithik Roshan's War, Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Hollywood film Joker which hit the screens on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. Dhanush's Asuran released over the weekend on October 4. Surprisingly, Siva Karthikeyan's Namma Veetu Pillai which hit the screens on September 27 has turned out to be the highest grosser minting Rs. 4.73 cr in 12 days.

NVP and Asuran opened to mostly positive reviews. While the former is a family entertainer, the later is a revenge drama. SivaKarthikeyan's film has grossed around Rs. 45 cr in TamilNadu while Asuran is estimated to have collected around Rs. 20 cr in 5 days. Hrithik Roshan's War which opened to mixed reviews has set the cash registers ringing and is on its way to make its entry into the prestigious Rs. 200 cr club.  Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa is performing well in Telugu states and has earned a total share of Rs. 82+ cr in 7 days.
