Actor Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his next movie Bigil and amidst it, he has launched his next new project Thalapathy 64 (tentative title) with an official pooja ceremony. Images from the event are currently circulating on the internet even as the makers are officially yet to share them. 

A Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, Thalapathy 64 is said to be a commercial entertainer and so far actors Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthnu and Antony Varghese are officially on-board. The film plans to release by Summer, 2020 and has Anirudh for music.
