Ajith Kumar's Nerkonda Paarvai which released yesterday opened up to positive reviews from both critics and the audience. The film on its first day has taken an excellent opening in chennai and Tamil Nadu.

In Chennai city the film has grossed Rs. 1.58 Cr on Day 1 ; with this the film has entered the all time top 5 day 1 Chennai city box office chart.

In Tamil Nadu the trade estimates that the film has grossed around Rs.14-16 cr in its day 1 which is slightly lower than that of Viswasam, another Ajith starrer that released in the early 2019. With the positive word of mouth, Nerkonda Paarvai is expected to have a steady run for this weekend. 

As known earlier, the film is a remake of critically acclaimed Hindi movie Pink. Directed by H Vinoth, the film’s star-cast comprises of Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Rangaraaj Pandey, Arjun Chidambaram, Adhik Ravichandran and few others.
