Kannai Nambathey, an upcoming crime thriller written and directed by Mu. Maran of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame had its first look release today featuring its lead actor Udhayanidhi Stalin. The film which has Aathmika playing female lead also has  Bhumika Chawla in an important role and Sathish for the comic relief.

The film which commenced shooting in February this year will be Udhayanidhi's first since his appointment as DMK youth wing secretary. The film has Sam CS for music, KU Mohanan for cinematography and Sreekar Prasad for the edits.
