Harmless Thriller!

Quite predictable and doesnt have the directorial finesse which is evident in a bunch of places. Still a passable mystery outing in which something or the other is constantly happening that is interesting to an extent(more)

Kannai Nambathey falters despite a thrilling setup

Kannai Nambathey is a watchable thriller for the performances, music, and few twists.

Kannai Nambathey could have built well on the premise if the writing was proper. The film takes a lot of cinematic liberties and ends up pulling the weight down. Udhayanidhi's latest is a contrived mess

t is one of those typical settings for a thriller, but Mu Maran keeps adding some random backstories, which all get unraveled in a single monologue at the end of the film. The only good thing that came out of the movie is that it was unintentionally funny in many instances. Other than that, there is nothing to relish in Kannai Nambathey, which brims with puerile ideas that were once seen in the works of amateur short filmmakers on YouTube. Even they wouldnt resort to some of the ideas in this film.(more)

Kannai Nambathey is a collection of layers that, when unravelled, have nothing at its core, apart from leaving us teary-eyed. Probably that also explains the title.(more)
