Keeping in lines with playing multiple roles in a film like Kamal Haasan's 10 roles in Dasavathaaram and Sivaji Ganeshan's 9 in Navarathri, actor Vikram is all set to play close to 25 characters in his upcoming movie Vikram 58 (tentative title). The Chiyaan actor who has earlier played only variations of the same character (Anniyan, I) for the first time will be playing completely different characters, if the reports are to be believed. 

The world record for playing the maximum number of characters in a film is currently held by Priyanka Chopra's 2009 Bollywood movie What is Your Rashee and if Vikram is indeed portraying 25 different characters, then the film may go on to secure that place.

Vikram 58 is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu with Priya Bhavani Shankar playing female lead and A.R. Rahman for music. The film jointly produced by Seven Screen and Viacom 18 Studios is all set to go on floors this month.
