In a announcement made through his social media page moments ago, A.R. Murugadoss, director of Rajinikanth's upcoming film Darbar has revealed that an official update about this cop-thriller will be made at 6 PM today. While the director did not specify the details about this update, fans speculate that it could be anything between a second look poster to first single release to a release date confirmation. 

It is worth mentioning here that the Agalaathey song from Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai is also releasing at the same time. Recently two stills of Rajinikanth from the Mumbai shooting spot of the film surfaced online sending fans into a frenzy. These images showcased the Superstar as a cop, a role he has taken to playing after 25 years.

Darbar is expected to wrap by the end of August, 2019 and release for Pongal, 2020. Keep watching this space for more updates on the film.
