Latest buzz about Asuran, Dhanush's upcoming movie with director Vetrimaaran is that the movie is gearing up for an October release this year and will most probably hit theater screens on Gandhi Jayanthi i.e. October 2, 2019. An official confirmation on the same is however awaited.

Recently the team posted updates about the film's music progress, which revealed that Dhanush has crooned a peppy number for the movie. The audio of the film can be expected soon, said the actor who plays dual roles of Father and son in the movie. 

Set between 1960 and 1980, Asuran which is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations and is based on the Tamil novel Vekkai. The film marks Malayalam actress Manju Warrier's Tamil debut and also starrs Pasupathi and director Balaji Sakthivel among others.
