The teaser of Sam Anton directed Gurkha, which stars Yogi Babu in the lead was launched recently and the video is no less of a riot. The latest update about the film is that popular production house "Libra Production" has aquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the film. The film is expected to hit the screen in July 2019.

In the less than 2 minute teaser video, we see jibes at BJP's 'anti-Indian' campaign and their frequent habit of opposing film releases. We also see a knocking-down of the phone scenario which was a notorious trend of actor Sivakumar's a few months ago.

The video finally makes a mockery of Yogi Babu himself, revealing the satirical nature of the film. Gurkha produced by Four Monkeys Studios also stars Canadian model turned actress Elyssa as a foreign ambassador, and a golden retriever in important roles. The film has Raj Aryan for music, Krishnan Vasanth for cinematography and Ruben for the edits.
