In a recent report carried out by The Hindu, Narayanan Valliappan, CEO of Kamal Haasan's production banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) has been quoted on the actor's status with Indian 2. To the uninitiated, Kamal Haasan began Indian 2 with Shankar and Lyca Productions earlier this year but the film ran into production issues.
While Kamal Haasan was busy focussing on his debut contest in Lok Sabha Elections, talks suggested that the film might even be shelved. However, reports started doing the rounds that Haasan will resume shooting this month (May, 2019) and since that is not the case and the actor is instead seen returning to host Bigg Boss Tamil from June, 2019, Narayanan was asked to shed some light on the situation.
The Hindu quotes the RFKI head as saying, “Kamal Haasan is committed to honouring his commitment. As far as Indian 2 is concerned, it will be better for the production house to speak about the film.” The report also quotes Narayanan stating that 90% of Kamal Haasan's time is now dedicated to politics.
