Last week we had reported about Bobby Simha taking the producer of his film Agni Devi to court and how it was circulated that a coimbatore sub-court had ordered a status quo on the film, which meant that Agni Devi couldn't release until April 4, 2019. However the film released as announced on March 22, 2019 and opened to a below average business.
Earlier this week, the Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council (TFPC) called for a meeting on the issue and apparently Simha chose to deal the proceedings at court rather than have TFPC mediate.
While TFPC maintained that a status quo was never ordered which allowed Agni Devi to release, Simha and his lawyers were filing another petition against producer John Paul Raj and Seatoa Studios for disregarding the court orders.
Now, TFPC has issued a statement saying that they have filed a police complaint against Bobby Simha for incurring losses to the producer and have confirmed that the Commissioner has accepted their request for cancelling the FIR against John Paul Raj and have recommended the same to the deputy commissioner of police.
