Court orders status quo for Bobby Simha's Agni Devi

Earlier today, news of actor Bobby Simha moving court against the release of the film Agni Devi (previously titled Agni Dev) surfaced. The news broke within 24 hours of the makers announcing that the film will release on March 22, 2019 i.e. tomorrow.

It is being reported that Bobby Simha has so far filed two cases against the film's director A. John Paul Raj and his production house Seatoa Studios in Coimbatore sub court and apparently the court has ordered status quo for one of the cases which means that Agni Devi cannot release until things are cleared legally.

It is also being said that Simha has claimed violation of agreement between him and the film's director in his first case and in his second complaint he has stated that the director has used CGI versions of him and a dubbing artiste to cover up for his portions, post the actor's exit from the film.

It is worth mentioning here that the bookings for Agni Devi remain open in theaters and the production house has not filed any counter claim as of now.
