Actor Simbu's upcoming film Vandha Rajavaathan Varuven, which is the Tamil remake of Attarintiki Daredi had its release date announcement recently and the movie which was originally a Pongal expectant will not hit theater screens on February 1, 2019.

Additionally, the movie which has music by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi had its audio rights picked up Saregama and the announcement was made by the music label's handle.

A comedy-drama about a grandson trying to reconcile his estranged family, the movie was originally written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and its Tamil version features Catherine Tresa and Megha Akash as female leads.
Directed by Sundar. C and produced by Lyca Productions, the movie is titled after Simbu's catchy one-liner from Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, the actor's last hit film.
