Thalapathy 63 starring Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead roles will be directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film was officially announced a few weeks ago and the pre-production work of the film is happening in full swing. Art director T. Muthuraj has begun work on the sets after a formal pooja yesterday. According to reports, the set work is happening in Binny Mills, Perambur. Director Atlee and cinematographer GK Vishnu were also present at the site.

Art Director T. Muthuraj has earlier revealed that the film is exploring some new kind of genre and it is challenging for him to work on it. Thalapathy 63 has music by A.R. Rahman and is expected to go on floors in January 2019. The film is set to hit the screens for Diwali 2019.
